Real-time traceability means Corbans Viticulture first with new StandardTo comply with a variety of standards and maintain accreditations, Corbans Viticulture needs to track 100's of thousands of vines through each growth stage and geographical location, often over a period of years. With new standards coming out, Corbans saw a way to meet the new compliance requirements, reduce labour effort, increase accuracy and gain a strong advantage over their competitors by implementing a real-time traceability system. This is a first for any viticulture nursery in New Zealand. Using wireless PDA's and a system based on Ablaze Software's inventory and asset management tools, they can track and manage vine yields by many criteria including, soil type, treatments and work history. Additional functions allow vine hybrid, cartons and geograhical locations to be recorded in real time and sales dispatch to be recorded. This is now done with substantially reduced paperwork, data-entry and staff-time, it is accurate and up-to-date producing better productivity and is a mission-critical part of their operations.

Movieshack ships more orders faster Movieshack foresaw the large demand that on-line DVD rental would produce in the volume of DVDs to be picked, packed, shipped and tracked. They wanted to protect their investment and ensure fast turnaround times in an industry where customer-service is critical. It couldn't be achieved using manual systems, so they used Pick & Send, a wireless stock & warehouse management system for scan-pack, shipping and receipting. Integrating in real-time with their custom database, PDA's with barcode scanners and label printers, they need less people to ship and return the DVD's than otherwise.

University of Canterbury - Track & Trace of Parcels improves deliveries The University of Canterbury receives hundreds of large and vital parcels each day that must be dispatched to the right person at the right department in a timely fashion. With over 110 departments and 40 different couriers, parcels can easily be mislaid or forgotten. With Ablaze Software's Simple Mobile Tools platform, each parcel is tracked from the time it arrives to the time it is delivered to the right place, they can query where a parcel is, who it was for and even the type, colour and shape of it.

Easy voting and visitor statistics with Peoples Choice - Mothers Products
As a leading sponsor of many car shows, Mothers Products, wanted to obtain statistics about the visitors to these shows. Mothers selected Ablaze Software and our expertise to develop software where visitors could vote for the "Peoples Choice" of most popular car at the show. With typical pizzaz, Mothers set up voting booths where visitors used their entry tickets that were scanned at the booth along with demographic data about themselves. The voting was hugely popular with visitors and Mothers Products gained valuable research data about their target market.
